在空調(diào)制冷系統(tǒng)中,制冷劑管路可分為高壓和低壓兩部分,高壓制冷劑的溫度較高,需要冷凝器來冷卻，而經(jīng)過蒸發(fā)器的低壓，需要?dú)庖悍蛛x器來分離氣態(tài)和液態(tài)的制冷劑，而液態(tài)的制冷劑則需要時(shí)間和溫度升高蒸發(fā)，成為氣態(tài)后才能進(jìn)入壓縮機(jī)，避免液壓縮，以延長(zhǎng)壓縮機(jī)的使用壽命。
熱交換氣液分離器的功能是把高壓、高溫需要冷卻的制冷劑與低壓低溫需要溫度來蒸發(fā)的制冷劑兩個(gè)管路集中通過一個(gè)容器中，相互以高低溫傳遞，使得需要冷卻的制冷劑得到低溫，需要加熱的制冷劑得到高溫，在經(jīng)過這一冷熱交換的作用后，系統(tǒng)的效率將會(huì)大大提升，才能達(dá)到更好的制冷效果。
